Products Dimuth C. Amaratunge

Mr. Dimuth C. Amaratunge,. is the principal attorney at Serendib Law Firm, APC. His primary practice extends to Personal Injury Law, Employment Law, Immigration Law, Contract Law, Landlord/Tenant Law, Business Litigation, Civil Appeals and Writs. Mr. Amaratunge has been certified as class action counsel for plaintiffs, representing their interests against multimillion dollar companies. He also has conducted and continues to conduct immigration workshops throughout Los Angeles and the Orange County areas and has represented immigrants, on a pro-bono basis, in reference to deportation proceedings, both in Immigration Court and at the Board of Immigration Appeals. Mr. Amaratunge received his J.D. from Western State University, College of Law. He was educated in England, Sri Lanka, and the United States and is fluent in Sinhalese. Mr. Amaratunge is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Maya L. Serkova received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated cum laude from Whittier Law School in 2015. During Law School, Ms. Serkova clerked with Orange County District Attorney's Office at Major Fraud Unit. Her litigation cases predominantly include wrongful termination, age and sex discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. Ms. Serkova is also active in the pre-litigation process and has successfully negotiated and settled potential lawsuits prior to the filing of a suit. Ms. Serkova is a bilingual and fluent in the language Russian. Ms. Serkova is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of California.

Products Justin A. Shimizu (Of Counsel)
Mr. Shimizu (Of Counsel) received his J.D. from Oak Brook College of Law. Mr. Shimizu clerked with the Los Angeles District Attorney's office in Long Beach, California. He focuses primarily on criminal defense, having conducted multiple jury trials and handling cases ranging from misdemeanor DUIs to attempted murder with gang allegations. Presently, Mr. Shimizu's professional legal work experience extends to all forms of Criminal Law matters, Employment Law, Civil Litigation, and Business Litigation. Mr. Victor Casco graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from California State University Fullerton. He thereafter completed his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. He has been working in the legal field for more than 11 years. Ms. Nanet Habachiy spent her undergraduate program studying criminal law, probations and corrections. She graduated with multiple recognitions from Golden West College, Huntington Beach with her Associates in probations and corrections. Subsequently she graduated in the top 10% of her class with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Law – Pre Law. Her passion for helping people extended through to her post baccalaureate studies into civil litigation. She obtained her paralegal certificate through CSULA’s ABA approved Paralegal Studies Program. Her legal work experience extends to Immigration Law, Employment Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice. Ms. Habachiy is a bilingual and fluent in Arabic.

Ms. Juliana Garcia received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Writing from the University of California, Merced. As an undergraduate she obtained her paralegal certificate through Abram’s College an ABA approved Paralegal Studies Program. Ms. Garcia professional legal work experience extends from interning in Attorney offices in the Central Valley in which exposed her to immigration and criminal law. Presently, Ms. Garcia is experienced in handling Employment Law and Personal Injury matters. Ms. Garcia is bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
